The Othello2.exe Application is an Othello (Reversi) playing program for the IBM PC Windows environment.

After having downloaded and unzipped the Othello2.exe Application, drag the application to a suitable folder on your hard disc. Double click on the Othello2.exe file icon to bring up the application window.

Alternatively, create a short-cut icon on your main Desktop display, that points to the Othello2.exe file and double click on that icon to obtain the application window.

The initial window explains the rules of Othello. Press the Space Bar, then you are given the choice of playing another person, or the computer. If you play the computer, you are given the choice of a hard or an easy game, and whether to be the first player or not. The first player is always 'Black'.

In this Version 2, whether you play the computer or not, you are given the choice of a prompts in the squares of the board for legal positions of play, and the option of correcting an incorrectly entered column letter. In the second instance, on being prompted for the row number, press the 'Escape' key, and you will (eventually) be prompted for the column letter again.

Press the key F1 or select 'Help' from the application window menu for more information.
