Downloading, Unpacking and Using Convolve.exe

The Convolve.exe Application is an Matrix Convolution Image Processor suitable for the IBM PC Windows 98/ME/2000/NT/XP environment.

After having downloaded and unzipped the Convolve.exe Application, drag the application to a suitable directory on your hard disc. Double click on the Convolve.exe file icon to bring up the Convolve Window.

Alternatively, create a short-cut icon on your main Desktop display, that points to the Convolve.exe file and double click on that icon to obtain the application window.

Select 'Open' from the 'File' menu and supply a BMP file, that should be displayed in the Convolve window.

Select the 'ToolBar' option, and a panel appears, from which you can select the filter characteristics.

Finally, select 'Convolve' and the image is processed. A Bar appears, which gives the progress through the convolution. After the convolution has been applied, it way be Undone and Redone from the 'Edit' option.

At any time, either select 'Help', or press F1 for a Help information window.

'New' from the 'File' menu, starts Convolve up again to accept a new BMP file, or by choosing 'Exit' from the 'File' menu, or closing the window, the Application can be terminated.
