Matrix.exe Matrix Determinant, Eigenvalues and Equation Solver

Unzip the downloaded compressed file, and extract the Matrix.exe executable to a suitable directory (folder) on your hard disc.

Please read the included ReadMe1st.txt file for methods of use of Matrix.exe, and the setting up of a Shortcut.

Double-clicking on the Matrix.exe file icon, or a setup Shortcut runs the application and displays a window with instructions and menus.

Clicking on the 'Show Matrix' Menu Option on the title bar will produce a 'SetUp' panel.

From the panel, a 2 x 2, 3 x 3, or 4 x 4 matrix can be entered via writable slots in the panel, having chosen the size of the matrix, A, required. Also an output vector, Y, can be entered.

NB Pressing the 'Tab' key will move from one writable slot to another, when entering your chosen values.

Clicking the 'Calculate' button, then finds a vector, X, such that A.X = Y, provided the equation is soluble, and also gives the Determinant and Eigenvalues of the matrix A.

Also displays the Characteristic Equation of the Matrix.

A 'Help' window is also available by pressing the F1 key, or choosing the Menu Option.
